Pundt Park
Located at 4129 Spring Creek Drive, Pundt Park is an inviting sanctuary. This park is connected to a few others, such as Dennis Johnston and Jesse H. Jones Nature Center. You can also go fishing in the creek and ponds, and have a relaxing picnic under the pavilion.
Mercer Arboretum and Botanic Gardens
In Harris County, about a half-hour from your active senior living apartments, Mercer Arboretum is a lush place full of botanical gardens. This botanic area extends through about 400 acres of land and has bamboo, color displays, daylilies, ferns, gingers, and tropical plants on the West Side. The East Side contains ponds, the Memorial Walk, and a visitor's center. There are also picnic areas, a trail through the woodlands, and two playgrounds near the arboretum. You can also volunteer to help the gardeners keep the gardens spotless.
Spring Creek Greenway
Trailing about 19 miles through Spring, Texas, and connecting 7,000 acres in Harris County, the Spring Creek Greenway Trail unlocks expanses of forest and beaches along the creek. You can go kayaking, have a picnic, or go biking! This is a lovely place to see wildlife and feel one with nature.
